Dr. Yatir Benari Halevi will be joining our faculty in October 2025, and we’re happy to welcome him into our academic community.
Dr. Benari Halevi’s research lies in model theory and its applications to algebra and geometry. Model theory is a branch of mathematical logic that examines the relationship between a first-order theory and its various models. He is particularly interested in (valued) fields and groups under various model-theoretic assumptions. His work encompasses the study of interpretable groups in valued fields, the application of the theory of algebraically closed valued fields to algebraic geometry, and the structure of model-theoretic tame graphs.
