Abstract:
Abstract: Since Shannon’s pioneering work in the late 1940s, entropy equipartition has played a central role in the study of dynamical systems. In this talk, we explore how this phenomenon appears in stochastic processes indexed by spaces with symmetries coming from group actions. We then present some new results showing pointwise almost sure equipartition along spherical structures in trees. Joint with Elias Zimermann (Leipzig).
