Abstract:
Self-similar sets and measures are an important family of dynamically-driven fractals, and it is a fundamental problem in fractal geometry to determine their dimensions. About this problem, there is a folklore conjecture called the exact overlaps conjecture. In this talk, we will introduce the recent progress on this conjecture in a gentle way, and present our results towards it. This is based on joint work with De-Jun Feng.
